    Photography has undergone significant advancements since its introduction in the early 19th century. From the initial black-and-white photographs captured on metallic plates to the high-definition digital photographs taken today, the evolution of photography has been an intriguing journey. In 1839, Louis Daguerre introduced the daguerreotype, which was the first practical method of capturing permanent images and marked the journey of photography. This photographic process involved exposing a silver-coated copper plate to light and then treating it with chemicals to develop the image. Although the process was time-consuming and required a long exposure time, it initiated a new era in visual documentation.

1. The Advent of Film Photography: In the late 19th century, the invention of flexible film revolutionized photography. George Eastman introduced the first flexible roll film in 1884, making it easier to capture multiple images without the need for individual plates. This innovation led to the development of handheld cameras, making photography more accessible to the general public.

The Rise of Colour Photography: While black and white photography dominated the early years, the introduction of colour photography in the mid-20th century brought a new dimension to visual storytelling. The first commercially successful colour film, Kodachrome, was introduced by Kodak in 1935. Colour photography allowed photographers to capture the world in vibrant hues, adding depth and realism to their images.

Unlike traditional film cameras, digital cameras use electronic sensors to capture and store images digitally. Social media platforms like Instagram have further fuelled the growth of smartphone photography, allowing users to share their images with a global audience instantly.

Every significant point in photography's history has brought new possibilities and advancements, making it more convenient for people to capture and preserve their memories.
